With offices in Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, Speur Aviation has an enviable position in being able to advise both inside and outside of EASA boundaries. A relatively young company, Speur Aviation’s roots draw from decades of experience. The people involved in Speur Aviation have been in and around aviation their whole professional life, giving this dynamic company the opportunity and resources to springboard toward a highly successful future, both for the company and its clientele. Starting small (but thinking big), today Speur Aviation participates in a number of aviation-related activities. These range from Personnel Recruitment services for both companies and candidates to assisting operators in their Safety Management Solutions, or gaining their Air Operator Certificate to taking care of the sometimes complex task of Aviation Manual Writing, or even conducting an internal Audit or Inspection, mimicking a regulatory Audit. Speur Aviation’s consultancy services are here to assist and help build the industry back into what it once was and to reach the potential of what it could be.

Leigh Myhill
Managing Director
When Leigh was a boy, his father took him for a flight in a small Cessna 150, as his father’s first passenger after passing his Private Pilots’ Licence. This ignited a passion in Leigh that burns bright today, for all things aviation. Leigh brings that passion to Speur.
Leigh Myhill has been flying for over 28 years, starting in light aircraft, moving on to regional turbo-prop aircraft before eventually making the move into short/medium-haul civil jet airliners, and finally into long haul passenger and cargo operations.
Leigh has varied experience across many genres of aviation. This depth of experience and knowledge helps him identify the needs of the client, ensuring expectations are met and often exceeded.
Living in the United Kingdom, Leigh continues to operate for an international VIP charter operator as an experienced Captain. Operating globally, Leigh has experience operating in many diverse parts of the world. Flying with pilots from many cultures across his 28+ years has given Leigh a unique perspective on different cultural subtleties, giving Leigh the perfect outlook in being able to serve clients from many different areas of the globe.

John Sternon
Business Development Director
Throughout his career, John has worked for several major airlines. Through this, John has gained varied experience within different flight department structures and cultures. Much of John’s flying has been in Europe, with a taste of the Middle East, after the second Iraqi war. More recently, John operated as a Captain, flying the Boeing 777, for a Chinese company before then taking a command position with a large European operator, flying the Boeing 787. The recent Covid crisis found John moving in a slightly different direction, operating a smaller aircraft, the Pilatus PC-12, for another European company. Recognising his depth of experience, he was asked to contribute to their regulatory obligations in writing and amending their company operational manual suite. This recent experience gained ideally places John to relate to any clientele aviation consultancy needs that arise, enabling him to develop bespoke solutions very effectively.
Having been a professional pilot for 24+ years and with over 14,000 flight hours, John is a cornerstone team member at Speur Aviation.
